Returning Offerings to the Earth

After each ceremony, Alexis Gonzalez pauses in silence to return the items used on the altar - flowers, cacao, fruits, and seeds - back to the embrace of Mother Earth. This heartfelt ritual is her way of expressing gratitude for the Earth’s support, nourishment, and the energetic space it holds during sacred work.

This practice is not merely a tradition, but a deeply intentional act of reverence. It creates a bridge between the spiritual and the natural world, helping Alexis - and those she guides - to slow down, ground their energy, and reconnect with the rhythm of life. In this moment of offering, the Earth is honored not just as a resource, but as a living, breathing presence.

Her children affectionately refer to the practice as “nature art.” Watching them collect petals, stones, and leaves to create spontaneous expressions of thanks is one of Alexis’s greatest joys. These nature-inspired expressions have become a cherished family tradition, reinforcing the core value of reciprocity: when we receive from nature, we also give back with respect and care.

Alexis’s approach to altar creation was shaped by her studies with Day Schildkret, the visionary behind Morning Altars. His teachings highlight the wisdom of impermanence - how beauty arises, fades, and returns to the Earth as part of a sacred cycle. This understanding is woven into all of Alexis’s ceremonial work, especially her Nature-Inspired Altar Making. She views altar-making as a spiritual conversation between the inner self, the unseen, and the natural world.

Through her offerings, Alexis invites others to deepen their own spiritual practices by joining one of her Creative Sacred Space Workshops. These immersive sessions guide participants through the process of building intentional, meaningful Flower Altars and designing Sacred Space Rituals that honor personal transitions, healing journeys, and ancestral wisdom.

In her Sacred Space Flower Altars Workshop, Alexis explores:
🌿 How to align with nature’s rhythms through conscious slowing down
🌸 Artistic expression as meditation and prayer
🔥 Crafting altars that reflect your soul’s intentions and life chapters
💧 Releasing and giving thanks through grounded ritual practices

These workshops offer more than artistic skill - they open the door to a deeper relationship with land, lineage, and life itself. They are designed especially for adults seeking Nature-Inspired Expression as a path toward healing, clarity, and inner peace.

In a world where the sacred is often overlooked, returning offerings to the Earth is a radical act of remembrance. It teaches us that the Earth is not separate from our healing - it is a partner in it. By giving back with intention and care, we honor this ancient bond.
